Things to bring with you for the seminar:

Post View - Questions

An open mind to new learning experiences!

An attitude of curiosity to learn something new!

A desire to have some fun!

Three books which are up to 200 pages in length which you have not read yet. The books should contain whatever level of information you are comfortable with to use as a learning tool. Please have books with a Contents table or index if possible. Non-fiction is a better type of book to bring.

Wear comfortable casual clothing. You will discover, if you don’t already know, that being relaxed and comfortable is best for learning. Please bring snacks (quiet) to keep your energy going. There are local restaurants in the area but you may want to pack a lunch for Saturday and Sunday. There is a kitchen and microwave in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Download your free trial of the iMindMap software, a tool you will be learning to use throughout the course. This is an affiliate link and we appreciate you using this link: CLICK HERE or copy and paste this link: http://thinkbuzan.com/?a_id=4ed05c7d4d1bc

On Sunday, you are welcome to bring a laptop to learn how to use the iMindMap software on your own computer. Laptops will not be used on Friday. They are not mandatory as the focus will be on learning to create hand drawn mind maps. Computer drawn mind maps will be taught on a break or at end of day Sunday. The software is easy and a lot of fun to use!

Fitness Coach Helen Fox will kick off each day with guided breathing exercises to stimulate brain activity and optimal learning. She will also be leading brain gym exercises throughout the course along with an optional 20-minute stretching session at the end of each day. To make your learning experience optimal, please keep the following things in mind:

• Eat a high protein breakfast to avoid feeling sluggish throughout the course (throughout the day, also choose snacks and meals that contain protein, low glycemic carbohydrates, and smart healthy fats).

• Drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day.

• Come rested and ready to learn (make sure you aim for 7.5-9 hours of sleep each night; especially the few days leading up to the course).
